The Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC) has a new mission
to advance innovation that makes a difference
.
"Our new mission embodies the expanded capabilities, service culture and partnering approach of the OTC. With an express focus on collaborating and ecosystem support, we aim to establish UK as a commercialization leader while working closely with our faculty, staff and student innovators to accelerate their technologies to market," said Ian McClure, OTC executive director.

UKWIN CONFERENCE FEATURED SPEAKER
Angelique Johnson, CEO/Founder of MEMStim, LLC

MEMStim, LLL CEO/Founder Angelique Johnson will be the featured speaker at the UK Women Innovator's Network (UKWIN) Conference in October. Her talk is titled "Think Like an Innovator. Act Like an Entrepreneur."

New Staff: Emmanuel Smith
|
Emmanuel Smith is a new member of OTC as part of the New Ventures Team, and is the New Ventures manager.
|

|
Barrett Block is a new OTC Fellow. He is working on his Juris Doctor and has a bachelor's in economics from the Wharton School.
|
|
Emma Holland is a new OTC Fellow. She is a Ph.D. student in chemistry and has a bachelor's in chemistry from the University of Kentucky.

New Staff: Alexander Williams
|
Alexander Williams is a new OTC Fellow. He is a graduate student in pharmaceutical science with a bachelor's in chemistry from Centre College.

in Nashville on “From Lab to Market: What It Takes to Commercialize Your Product."

OTC is seeking a Data Analyst, who will
manage intellectual property and agreement data/document entry, including creation and updating of accounts and records in our invention management system. In addition, this position will record all financial documents related to patent expenses and revenues into the OTC database. Moreover, they will oversee the integrity of the data in the OTC invention management database. Reporting to the Associate Director of Intellectual Property Development, the Data Analyst will provide support for data, document, and information collection as needed along with administrative support for the Intellectual Property Committee. This position will also work closely with the Senior Contracts Coordinator to setup and update agreement accounts.
The deadline to apply is July 28.
