Sunday is National Pie Day!

National Pie Day is on January 23rd and celebrates a national treasure, the pie, of course. Fruity, creamy or savory pies are always a crowd favorite. To help celebrate the Mississippi Farmers Market invites everyone to bake their favorite pie, but more importantly, eating pies! There are plenty of the basic pie ingredients at the market. You can get eggs, milk and fruit to make the perfect one for you! Here is a funfact: The first pies appeared around 9500 BC in the Egyptian Neolithic period or New Stone Age! So, humans have been eating pies for a very long time. Happy Pie Day, and here's to making the perfect one!

Don't forget we have fresh apple and peach turnovers every Saturday! It's a pie made perfectly for those on the go!
