Seeing “Email Already Exists” When Adding a Staff Member?

We’ve got the answers for you! If you see the “Email Already Exists” message when adding a staff member to your Group Admin team, it simply means that email is already connected to an existing ChildCareEd account.

When you click on "New Team Member", you’re creating a new account for them. So if the system says the email already exists, you’ll want to add them to your team this way instead:

  • Go to Team Management
  • Click "Add Existing Users to Team"
  • Enter in the staff member email address
  • Click "Add to Your team"

Tip: If you weren’t expecting this message, double-check that the email is spelled correctly.

Not sure whether you should add the existing account? No problem! You can check with the staff member to see if they’ve had an account before, or contact us and we’ll confirm it for you.

Get Your Green Ready! 🍀

St. Patrick’s Day, celebrated on Tuesday, March 17th, is a fun chance to add a little green-themed learning to your day.

It’s a great opportunity to explore colors, especially green!

Here are a few easy ways to celebrate in your center:

  1. Create a Rainbow Art Wall

Have each class create one color, then hang the colors in order to make one big rainbow in the lobby.

2. Do a Green-Themed Snack Day

Serve an easy “green” snack and let children help wash, sort, or count pieces.

3. Plan a Shamrock Scavenger Hunt

Hide paper shamrocks outside on the playground (or around the classroom), then have children find and count how many they spot.

🏀Let the Madness Begin

March Madness is the NCAA college basketball tournament that runs from mid-March into early April. The tournament officially kicks off after Selection Sunday, when the bracket is announced.

It’s a fun theme to bring into your center because you can turn it into movement, teamwork, and simple learning games.

A Few Fun Ways To Play Along:

  1. Mini “Hoops” Challenge

Toss soft balls or rolled socks into a basket, great for gross motor skills

2. Create a Classroom Bracket

Use books, songs, or classroom activities instead of teams and vote each day

3. Try a Basketball Count & Sort Activity

Count paper basketballs, sort by color/size, or match numbers
