From Your Administrative Team

Greetings Families,
"Ramadan Mubarak" to our Muslim friends and family! If you celebrate Ramadan, we would love to hear from you to learn more about how your family celebrates. In the meantime, click here to learn a little more about this special month!
We also want to celebrate all students for another incredible Exhibition experience! Presenters were poised, confident, and joyful as they shared their learning with the hundreds of visitors who entered our campus this week. We appreciate our students and teachers for their hard work on such a successful event! If you haven't had a moment to celebrate with your student yet, we encourage you to take the time to do so!
Additionally, All 3 Da Vinci Connect Odyssey of the Mind teams placed first in the state championship and are advancing to the world competition! The worldwide organization challenges students of all ages in completely student led engineering, creative problem-solving, writing and the arts, including a performance piece. All three of our teams beat out big-name school competitors who invest in professional coaching, hand-picked teams through auditions, and ample funding. DV kids did it with friendship and the fearlessness that comes with the Habits of Heart and Mind. We are so proud of our students and their families! If you would like to support the 19 champions who are headed to the World Championships in May, you can donate HERE! Be sure to specify "Odyssey of the Mind" so that funds are applied directly to this fundraising effort.
Finally, mandatory State Testing for all 3rd-8th grade students will take place beginning the week of April 25. Please look out for a special blog post/newsletter from Kaitlin the week we return from Spring break with additional details. While we don't put any performance pressure on our students regarding this experience, we understand that some families may want to spend some time familiarizing themselves with the CAASPP tests. You can browse some resources HERE, including links to practice tests.
We hope you enjoy a very relaxing Spring Break!
Take Good Care,
Kaitlin and Tami

- It is not too late to be a Curriculum Champion!
Our goal with this program is to have parents collaborate with each
other to make the most of the DV Connect Supplemental Curriculum resources. There is great value in what you do for your kid's learning every day and sharing those tips and tricks will help others to find success!
Ask yourself these questions:
1. Which piece of curriculum do I use most?
2. Which piece of curriculum does my child love?
3. Am I willing to share my knowledge (BIG or small) with others?
Use the QR Code below to take a survey to let us know what you’d like to Champion!
