From the Midwest's Heartland to the Rocky Mountain Foothills: Meet Sarah Banister
Sarah Banister is a Membership Marketing Specialist.
What's your personal story?
Born and raised in Indiana, I relocated to Denver a little over a year ago. Currently, I'm working in Marketing at The Denver Athletic Club, focusing on community outreach and external marketing. My goal is to introduce more people to the incredible offerings within The DAC's historic brick walls. Golf is my true passion. I began playing as a young girl and have continued to enjoy the game. I've even taught golf at various children's programs. Sharing my enthusiasm for golf brings me great joy. Recently, I graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in Informatics and a cognate in Business. This degree equipped me with essential coding and business skills.
What key moments in your life led you to where you are today?
Moving to Denver, with the support of my family, has been a significant factor in my current path. Since relocating, I've had numerous opportunities for growth and personal development. Working at The Denver Athletic Club has allowed me to delve deeper into marketing. My supportive colleagues are committed to my success. I've also had the chance to meet prominent Denver residents through the club. Additionally, I've instructed golf at several Colorado programs, gaining valuable experience in that field. The opportunities here are truly boundless.
Where does your passion to serve come from?
My passion for service stems from my hardworking family. My grandparents founded our family business over 50 years ago, which is now managed by my father and uncle. Growing up around the business, I witnessed firsthand the dedication and effort required to run a small company. My mother's drive has also inspired me to strive for greater success.
