From The TBS Office

Many thanks to all for your consideration of our students on campus:

An Apple A Day Academy (pre-school) in building #1 and the

Achievement Center of SWFL (grades 6-12) in building #3

Sarasota Jewish Day School (Kindergarten-3rd grade) new addition to the campus in building #1. As always, be cautious in the parking lot.

Please remember we have entered our 2025-26 TBS Membership Campaign. We are now almost into month 4 of our new membership year and the office is looking for your membership renewal confirmation (we requested by August 13, 2025).  Your continued support and dedication is greatly appreciated.

HIGH HOLIDAYS: Membership status and up to date contact information is needed as the office will be sending out High Holiday materials (Kol Nidre Appeal, Yizkor Book & Lulav & Etrog order forms, etc.) this week. High Holiday tickets will be mailed out the week of Sept. 1st to all up to date TBS members.

DONATIONS/TRIBUTES: When making a donation or tribute, remember that if it is for TBS (not MC or SH), you can use one check. Please include a note to let us know how the check is to be delineated.

  • After office hours remember that TBS has a secured locked box on the left of the office door for your donations, tributes, membership, notes & more!

BACK TO SCHOOL & HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS: As the start of the 2025-26 school year is around the corner, are your kids and grandkids prepared? Florida's TAX FREE event begins on August 1 and ends August 31 for all your back to school needs. Also, Hurricane preparedness items are now now permanently TAX FREE starting August 1. Please click here for more information.

Friendly Cyber Awareness Tip: If you receive an email that doesn't seem right, please check the email address that it is coming from, there has been an uptick of email "Spoof" fraud over the past few weeks. If you have any questions, please email troy@tbssrq.org.

Please be sure to engage with those you don’t know and help make TBS the community you desire. If you lost your original TBS Name Badge and want to order a replacement ($16), please call or email the office.

Front Desk Volunteers: Be sure to thank our front desk volunteers when you come in the office to sign in (Tues-Fri). Ted Probst has just joined your TBS Team with Sheila Maslow and Merle Haber. We couldn't provide the level of service we do in the office without their assistance.

Your support with the TBS TEAM is greatly appreciated.

HIGH HOLIDAY USHER-GREETER MEETING

If you are interested in being an usher or greeter during our High Holiday services, please contact Joel Servetz. (videobyjoel@aol.com, Cell 941-504-5513)

We will have a meeting on Sunday, September 7, at 10:00 am

We will discuss procedures, answer any questions & you can sign up for dates/times for service duty.

We appreciate your continued support of TBS!

VISIONARY SOCIETY

We thank our Visionary Society Members who help support our Temple Beth Sholom by paying more than the required dues each year. This is an annual program (brochures go out in May/June with the new membership year information) and these members pay between $1,000 and $15,000 in addition to the base dues amount. These members are an important part of keeping Temple Beth Sholom’s operating budget balanced.

Temple Beth Sholom appreciates our Visionary Society Members for their generosity and invites you to consider joining this special group.

LIFE & LEGACY™

Have you already planned?

Have you already included a gift to TBS in your will/estate plan? Please let us know as we want to recognize you among our members who are creating a legacy for the future of Temple Beth Sholom.
