Dear friends in Christ,

One of the greatest joys of our work at LLL Canada is spending time with the people and congregations we serve. Whether gathering around God's Word, exploring opportunities for outreach, or simply sharing stories of life and ministry, these conversations help us better understand how we can support and equip Christians across Canada.

This month, we're taking you along on two recent visits, from Manitoba's rural communities to the heart of Winnipeg.

What does it look like to share the hope we have in Jesus through everyday conversations?

That was the focus of a recent Spiritual Conversations Workshop at Trinity Lutheran Church in Inglis, Manitoba, where representatives from four local congregations gathered for an afternoon of learning, discussion, and encouragement.

LLL Canada's Managing Director, Lisa Jackson, led the workshop, exploring how listening, asking thoughtful questions, and building genuine relationships can open opportunities to speak about our faith. The group was enthusiastic and engaged, bringing their own experiences and questions into the conversation. But the conversations didn't end with the workshop!

The visit also provided a wonderful opportunity for Lisa to meet some of the faithful supporters who have encouraged, prayed for, and generously supported LLL Canada's ministry over the years.

Among them was Al Marshall, whose ongoing connection with LLL Canada made meeting in person especially meaningful. "It felt like meeting an old friend I hadn't seen in a while," Lisa reflected.

Al also thoughtfully captured photographs throughout the gathering and shared them afterward, allowing Lisa to spend more time visiting with participants rather than worrying about documenting the event.

It's a small gesture that speaks to something much bigger: the relationships that sustain and encourage our shared work in the Gospel.

We are grateful to Trinity Lutheran Church for hosting, to everyone who participated, and to supporters like Al who remind us that our ministry is strengthened by the people and congregations who walk alongside us.

On The Road: A Visit to Holy Cross, Winnipeg

While in Manitoba, Lisa also had the pleasure of joining the congregation of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Winnipeg for Sunday worship.

Following the service, she shared an introduction to the work of LLL Canada, highlighting the resources, outreach tools, and ministry opportunities available to support congregations and individuals.

Visits like these give us an opportunity not only to share what LLL Canada is doing, but also to hear from those serving in their own congregations. Every congregation has its own gifts, opportunities, and challenges, and these conversations help us consider how we can best serve alongside them.

Strengthening Connections Across The Church

The Winnipeg visit also provided an opportunity to reconnect with friends and colleagues serving throughout Lutheran Church–Canada.

Lisa spent time with one of our LLL Ambassadors - Samantha Neeb. (Samantha also happens to be Associate Director of Family Ministries for Lutheran Church–Canada). They enjoyed time together, discussing the connections between our ministries and opportunities to encourage and equip young people and families. There was also time to catch up with other staff and friends at the LCC office in Winnipeg.

While these visits may not always result in a new program or resource, they are an important part of our work. Relationships grow through conversation, shared encouragement, and a willingness to learn from one another.

The Church is connected through Christ, and we are grateful for every opportunity to serve alongside one another.

Thank you for being part of this work through your prayers, encouragement, and faithful support.

God's blessings on your weeks ahead!

Warmly,

The LLL Team
