Two Holidays Days Upcoming

In this edition of Tech Talk News, we will be looking at two different holidays coming up within the next week: National Mom and Pop Business Owner Day and World Backup Day. Both of these holidays are important to us here at Ridge Support and the latter serves as an excellent reminder during these trying times.

World Backup Day

We recently went over some offsite backup information in Volume 8, Issue 1 of Tech Talk News to start off the new year, but there are certainly many more things you can do to ensure your data is backed up.

From cloud backups and windows backups to offsite backups and backup hard drives, each method can play a huge role in saving your organization time and money in the event of a problem or disaster. With the virus crisis currently going on in the world and our area, this is an absolutely crucial time to ensure that your data is backed up in some way, especially if offices are closed and normal backup routines are being affected by it.

They could come in handy for anything from a file that was accidentally deleted to a hurricane. That is why, on March 31st each year, the world celebrated backups. If you are interested in discussing backup options or reviewing your current backup situation, please feel free to call into our office.

Mom and Pop Business Owner Day

While Ridge Support is not owned by a mom and pop, it is a local small business and that is the point of the holiday. Many of you own or work for a local business or organization as well. The holiday is celebrated on the 29th of March each year. Many small businesses have struggled and had to close over the past few months with the restrictions placed on them due to the pandemic. That makes celebrating this year all the more important.

The day is dedicated to trying to increase the awareness of and support for these small businesses that both do wonders to support the local economies as well as help greatly in building a community that is both connected and functional, something that is becoming both more apparent and more important in these trying time.
