This coming Sunday, October 25, 2026, will be the 22nd Sunday

after Pentecost.

The Scripture Reading will be Matthew 22. 33-46, and the sermon title is " The Great Command of Our Savior."

Just a reminder that Charge Conference will be held here at HUMC on November 1, from 3-4:30 PM.

A reminder that pledge cards are available in the Narthex and should be returned by Sunday, November 22nd. You can return your card in the offering plate, the offering box in the Narthex, or by dropping it off to Dianne in the church office. Thank you for your generosity and continued support of HUMC!

Preschool News

We had an incredibly fun, busy week celebrating our Community Helpers. We have so many wonderful helpers in our own Preschool family, and we are thankful for those who joined us from the community as well. It is so important to learn about the people who help us, whether they're doctors, nurses, teachers, firefighters, police officers, construction workers, and more! We are so thankful!

TRUNK OR TREAT

This year we will have trunk or treat with Shineforth

on Saturday, October 24th, from 3-5 PM. If you would like to participate, just decorate your trunk (or not), and back into the parking spaces on the lower parking lot! It should be a ton of fun!!

Discovery Music

This week's service will open with We Believe. This song is based on the Apostles' Creed and recorded by Newsboys. It is a declaration of the Christian faith and proclaims the truth of the Gospel, affirming that God is three in One.

Just before the Benediction, the band will lead the congregation in Great Are You Lord, a song that celebrates God's greatness, goodness, and the gift of life He gives to His people.

Please listen to both and sing along!

Our church is in need of a Kitchen Manager to help keep our kitchen running smoothly.

Responsibilities include:

  • Keeping cabinets stocked - monitoring supplies and restocking as needed.

  • Using a Sam's Club Card or other card for purchasing kitchen items.

  • Turning in all receipts to Cindy Harding for reimbursement.
  •
  • If you enjoy organizing and helping behind the scenes, this is a wonderful way to serve.

All Saints' Day - Nov 1, 2026

It’s the time of the year when our thoughts turn to events

in the life of our church for Fall.

One of those events is the Candle Burning Service

we have on All Saints’ Day – November 1st.

This service not only remembers the loved members

of our congregation who have gone on to be

in that great cloud of witnesses, but also others who have

had a place in our hearts. On that day we will also honor those who are a continuing source of inspiration and love toward us.

Please support this local and global ministry

of our United Women of Faith circles by contributing

to the memory or honor of those special to you.

Thank you for your support.
