C‍hildren's Chapel

During the 9 a.m. service

The aim of Children’s Chapel is to provide time for children (ages 3-10) to gather in community, sing, hear the gospel in a simpler format, reflect on the readings in their own voice and to offer the Prayers of the People and listen to God in their own way. During the hymn before the gospel reading, you will see a children’s processional cross and children starting to gather at the baptismal font. At the conclusion of the gospel, children are given the opportunity to follow the cross up the main aisle of the sanctuary and process to the Lilly Room for a liturgy of their own. The children return during the exchange of peace. Click here to learn more.

Godly Play Sunday School

10:15-11 a.m., classrooms are on the second floor of the Parish Ctr. bldg.

Godly Play is offered most Sundays for Pre-K to fifth grade students. The purpose of Godly Play is to engage the big questions of life and the mystery of God through story, wonder and play. Using Montessori pedagogy, Godly Play’s vision is to honor the inherent worth and dignity of every child while nurturing their unique spiritual journeys. It operates on the assumption that every child already has a deep, authentic relationship with God and the capacity to experience the mystery of God directly. (Godly Play Society).
