North Iowa Band Festival Spirit Week
May 18-23, 2020
It's Band Festival Spirit Week! Even though we won't have the normal "Big Parade," we've planned activities for each day this week to show our North Iowa Band Fest spirit. Please join us as we celebrate from a distance!
Monday, May 18 | Willson Memorial Service
In honor of Meredith Willson’s birthday and the North Iowa Band Festival , Mason City High School Drum Majors paid tribute at Elmwood Cemetery on Monday. Senior Drum Major Bailey Gunderson, Junior Drum Major Shaye Theobald, and Chamber staff practiced social distancing during the memorial to Willson.
Tuesday, May 19 | Royalty Interview
North Iowa Band Festival emcee Chris Frenz interviewed last year's Band Festival King Jacob VerHelst (Central Springs) and Queen Alana Noss (Rockford) to see what they have been up to since last year's festival, their musical experience, and their memories of Band Fest. Check out what they had to say.
Wednesday, May 20 | Brad+Kate
Join us for a Facebook Live performance by Brad+Kate, at 7PM on Wednesday, May 20 on our Band Festival Facebook page . They believe that live music, unlike anything else, brings people together and cover genres from oldies to pop, blues to rock, as well as their own original music. Brad+Kate were originally scheduled to perform at this year's Festival but have been re-booked for next year.
Thursday, May 21 | Reverse Band Fest Parade
We may not be able to hold our traditional parade, but we can't let our candy-lovers down! So, we'll have the candy, and you be the parade! Feel free to decorate your car/windows and drive past the Commerce Center (9 N Federal) between 2-4PM on Thursday, May 21 and we'll throw candy to you in your cars as you go by! Click here for a map of the parade route. We will be wearing gloves and face masks and tossing pre-packaged candy bags.

Friday, May 22 | Betty & the Gents
Betty and the Gents are past Band Festival performers and a favorite local group. Join us for a Facebook Live performance on our Band Festival Facebook page at 8:15PM on Friday, May 22.

NIACC Extreme Makeover Announcement
Winners of NIACC's Extreme Makeover will be announced live at noon on Friday, May 22 on Facebook .

Saturday, May 23 | Facebook Feature
