Dear Friends

Hats off to everyone who helped with our sandwich build this year! We produced 800 sandwiches at what had to be a record pace. Our youth are a well-oiled machine every year, and this year they were firing on all cylinders!

But it's not about how fast we make sandwiches—it's about the people we’re making them for. We’re praying that those who receive these sandwiches feel God’s love and the love of those who made them. Many hands truly made light work!

This Sunday marks the official start of Youth Programming!

Sunday Formation is from 10:30–11:10 AM, and SNL and Y’all Saints meet from 6:00–7:30 PM. All youth activities take place on the 3rd floor of the Pritchett center, the attic.

Sunday mornings wouldn’t be complete without hot and ready Krispy Kreme doughnuts, they’ll be waiting for you when you arrive, don’t worry!

Along with doughnuts, we have 18 incredible formation teachers who are absolutely thrilled to meet you all. We truly have a village of people ready to support and be present with our youth, how cool is that?

SNL and Y’all Saints are our evening programs where we share a meal, engage in faith-filled conversation, and play fun games. Our first dinner will be a pancake buffet with all your favorite toppings. Come enjoy a stack of pancakes and be in community!

All Saints’ is also launching a new coffee hour after the 9:00 AM service called "See You @ 10." This 30-minute gathering in the courtyard in front of Ellis is a time to mingle and chat before heading to formation classes. If you want to hang out with me and the youth we'll be next to the brick wall in front of Ellis Hall, let's see you @ 10!

Peace,

Luke

Volunteer Opportunity

To help build stronger connections and make this year meaningful for our youth, I’ve put together a Sign-Up Genius and a Google Doc with a variety of ways you can get involved in youth ministry. The Google Doc lists all the volunteer roles—please check the boxes for anything you're comfortable signing up for. The Sign-Up Genius includes specific dates and time slots for each opportunity.

Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or looking to jump in for the first time, there’s something for everyone:

Volunteer Roles Available:

  • Provide Dinner for Sunday Night Youth Group (SNL& Y'all Saints'): Help feed our hungry youth by cooking, ordering, or bringing dinner. Fan favorites include Moe’s and Papa John’s Pizza—always a hit! Please note you do not have to bring a separate dinner for SNL and Y'all Saints, because we all eat together!

  • Sunday Formation Teacher: Join a team of volunteers to lead Sunday morning formation. Don’t worry—you won’t be doing it alone. We’re building a team-based structure to make it collaborative and low-pressure, even for first-time teachers.

  • Sunday Greeters (Morning and Evening): A warm hello makes all the difference. Greeters help our youth feel seen and welcomed as they arrive for programming.

  • Drivers & Chaperones for Local Outings: Occasionally, we’ll head off-site for events like bowling, laser tag, Braves games, or other local activities. We’re looking for adults willing to drive and actively participate—whether that means scoring strikes or just being a supportive presence.

  • Retreat Drivers & Chaperones: If you’re able to spend a weekend away, we’d love to have you join us as a chaperone or driver. It’s a chance to connect deeply with our youth and experience God’s presence in new ways.

  • Home Gathering Hosts: We’re looking for hosts willing to open their homes for small-group gatherings, game nights, or seasonal celebrations. You choose what you’re comfortable hosting.

  • Letter Writing: Help send notes and flyers to members in our community

We’re looking forward to an amazing year together, and I’m so grateful for your time, support, and energy as we continue building a meaningful youth community!

Our Diocese and All Saints' take seriously the safety of all our children. If you volunteer with Children or Youth, you must take the Safeguarding God's Children training.

To take the online training - just go to Safe Church Training, check out the dates available, and sign up!

Even if you don't work with Children or Youth, you are encouraged to get trained - the more we know, the safer our kids are.

The Diocese of Atlanta does Zoom training also and you can sign up for one of these.

Fall Acolytes

The fall acolyte schedule is out but that doesn't mean that the acolyte registration is closed. You still have the chance to join an acolyte team! We’re offering a second Acolyte Training on Sunday, September 14th, immediately following the 9:00 AM service in the church. Please email me if you want to attend to training on the 14th

During the training, we’ll review what it means to serve as an acolyte, walk through your responsibilities during the liturgy, and practice the specific movements and roles you’ll be leading on Sunday mornings. Whether you’re new or returning, this is a great chance to refresh and connect with your team.

Meet our new Ministry Intern

Naivion Stephens!

Everyone give a warm welcome to our new Ministry Intern, Naivion Stephens!

Naivion will be joining us this upcoming fall semester, and we’re so excited to have him on board. He poised to graduate with a baccalaureate degree in Philosophy and Religion from Morehouse College. Following this milestone, he will pursue a Master of Divinity at either the University of Chicago or Harvard University. His goal is to be ordained to preach, enter the academy as a Professor of Sacred Theology, Religion, Biblical Hermeneutics, and Philosophy, and continue advancing the mission of theological education and spiritual formation. He’s looking forward to meeting all of you and jumping into ministry with our amazing community!

Let’s show him how welcoming and supportive our All Saints' family can be!
