Marian Catholic High School Announces

Julian Cerullo '21 as New Leadership

Gift Officer in the Advancement Office

Following a comprehensive regional search that drew a strong and diverse pool of candidates, Marian Catholic High School is proud to announce the hiring of Julian Cerullo '21 as the new Leadership Gift Officer in the Advancement Office.

A proud alumnus of the Class of 2021, Cerullo brings to the role a mission-driven spirit and deep commitment to the Marian community. His professional background includes roles in sales, marketing, and operations, along with a strong foundation in relationship-building and strategic engagement. He will now focus his energy on strengthening ties with Marian alumni, increasing leadership-level giving, and expanding scholarship support for students.

In his new role, Cerullo will work closely with Fr. Robert Finlan, Principal, and Dr. Erin Marek P '28, Director of Advancement, to lead efforts in growing membership in the Principal's Leadership Society — which recognizes donors who contribute $1,000 or more annually. He will also help steward members and prospects of the 1954 Legacy Society, Marian’s planned giving recognition society, and will assist in expanding scholarship support through the PA Tax Credit program.

"Coming back to Marian in this capacity is incredibly meaningful to me," said Julian Cerullo '21. "This school shaped who I am, and I’m excited to connect with fellow alumni to share in the mission of building Marian’s future. Whether through leadership gifts, planned giving, or scholarship support, our alumni have the power to make a lasting difference."

Fr. Robert Finlan expressed his enthusiasm for Cerullo’s appointment: "Julian brings energy, integrity, and a strong sense of purpose to this role. As both an alum and a coach, he understands the heart of Marian and is uniquely positioned to help us deepen alumni engagement and grow philanthropic support."

Dr. Erin Marek, Director of Advancement, highlighted the impact Cerullo is already making: "Julian’s ability to connect authentically with our alumni and donors is already proving invaluable. His professionalism and commitment will help us build stronger relationships and lay the foundation for a successful 75th anniversary celebration in the coming years."

In his new role, Cerullo joins a dedicated Advancement team that includes Jim Sauka '66, a longtime volunteer serving as Database Manager. The Advancement Office works in collaboration with Larry Furey '79, Chair of the Board’s Advancement Committee.  "As an alum, Julian represents the very best of Marian," said Larry Furey '79. "His return to serve his alma mater is a powerful example of our alumni giving back—not just with gifts, but with their time and talents. I’m thrilled to have him on the Advancement team as we prepare for Marian’s 75th anniversary and beyond."

Cerullo’s hiring marks a significant step forward in Marian’s strategic plan to deepen alumni engagement, increase support for students and families, and honor the school’s legacy of excellence rooted in faith, community, and academic achievement.
