DCPC 2026 Stewardship Season:

For the Common Good (1 Corinthians 12:7)

Join the almost 110 DCPC households who have already made an estimate of giving for 2027. We are dedicating our commitments in worship this Sunday. If you cannot attend, use the button below to make your pledge or mail in your card. If you have already made your estimate of giving for 2027, you can drop a blank card (in the Burris Space and Narthex) in the baskets with your Sunday offering. Click on the videos below to hear why Cecil Clifton and his wife, Jennie, give to DCPC and why George Raftelis, John Hurst and some of our Friday Men's Group are so supportive of our connectional ministries.

Speaking of the Common Good The DCPC Nominating Committee is seeking nominations and self-nominations for two deacons in the officer class of 2029. This three-year term is for members who are interested in serving in the care and support side of leadership at DCPC. If you are interested or would like more information, contact Harriet Regen or Peter Henry.

Learning to Pray (and Helping David Brinson with his Degree)

You are invited to join David Brinson in the sanctuary on Thursday, November 5th, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. for a lecture and worship service exploring the theology of bold prayer. The evening is presented as part of his doctoral studies as he nears completion of a degree in worship studies.

Asking for help can be difficult, but you don't have to know exactly what to say or where to begin. Talking with someone you trust—a friend, family member, health-care professional, or spiritual leader—can be a first step toward getting support. SAMHSA offers practical suggestions for starting that conversation. Click here to learn How to Ask for Help.

Mental health screening isn't only about depression. Mental Health America's screening tools cover a range of concerns, including anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, eating disorders, and more. If something doesn't feel quite right, a screening may help you better understand what you're experiencing. Explore mental health screeing tools here.

Finding the right support can take time, but you don't have to navigate it alone.

SAMHSA's FindTreatment.gov allows you to search for mental health and substance-use treatment services in your area. You can search by location and other criteria to find available resources. Find Mental Health Treatment by clicking here.

Join us on the fourth Tuesday of each month, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the DCPC Library, as we discuss the month’s work of fiction. Our November 24th novel is This Tender Land by William Kent Krueger.
