ABOUT JACKSON HOLE CLASSICAL ACADEMY
Founded in 2011 by the Friess family, Jackson Hole Classical Academy was established to create a model classical Christian school in the Mountain West -- one devoted to forming hearts and minds and preparing students to live with responsibility, self-governance, and purpose.
Today, the extraordinarily gifted JHCA faculty (including several with doctorates) serve approximately 90 students, with whom they partner each day in a new 78,000-square-foot classroom building designed to support a pre-K through 12th-grade of 250.
The fully resourced campus (with no debt) features:
- A carefully curated library invites students into a literary inheritance
- Science labs and maker spaces support hands-on inquiry and problem-solving
- An indoor greenhouse connects science and entrepreneurship in practice
- A dedicated chess room develops strategic thinking and competitive engagement
- The expansive music studio houses a school-wide strings program
- The chef-led kitchen and dining hall anchor daily rhythms of shared meals
- A competition field house and fitness facility
- Turfed lacrosse/soccer field surrounded by a six-lane track
- Five tennis courts
Jackson, Wyoming is the municipal hub of Teton County. The Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks draw hundreds of thousands of visitors each summer. When the snow begins to fall, tourists come for skiing, snowmobiling, and other Nordic adventures.
