Presenting ... PAAER.org! | |
|
We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in our journey - the unveiling of our brand-new identity for Pennsylvania Adult Education Resources: PAAER!
Earlier this month, we revamped our homepage and navigation menu, and we introduced a brand-new name and logo. The URL has also been simplified from paadultedresources.org to PAAER.org. We invite you to take a moment to explore the subtle yet significant changes we've made.
All your existing bookmarks leading to the paadultedresources.org webpage will remain functional. Technically, the PAAER.org web address acts as a redirect, seamlessly taking you to the familiar paadultedresources.org page. This means that all the web addresses you've used before will still be effective, whether you're conducting searches or using your bookmarks. Your online experience using the website remains uninterrupted!
Over the next few months, we'll be extending this fresh brand identity to our other resources and web pages, enhancing your overall experience. Stay tuned for more exciting updates!

When to Skim
Reading something deeply and closely is incredibly important, but being able to quickly skim material has its uses as well. When a student reads something by skimming, they quickly look for key points and try to pick up a summary of the material. This skill can be explicitly taught; not only how to skim, but when to skim. A recent Edutopia article, Guiding Students to Know When to Skim and When to Focus, addresses this instructional need with tips for students and teachers.
