BALLROOM AND LATIN!

New 4-Week Session Begins July 12th

NO CLASSES ON JULY 5th!!

Level 2 (Intermediate) at 12:00n,

Level 1 (Beginner) at 12:45pm

At 12:00N (Level 2, Intermediate) we continue

two favorite upbeat Club Dances: Hustle and Night Club 2Step.

Then at 12:45 (Level 1, Beginner) for some special Summer Fun we learn the Samba bounce and the Merengue March -- a trip to the tropics without leaving the dance floor.

And since both classes are great fun, and you are already here, why not stay for both?

Take the Class at 12 and stay for the next Class at 12:45 and the second class is half price!)

Our Level 1 (Beginner) classes focus on the basics.

In Level 2 (Intermediate) we cover more complex patterns, more intricate leading and following techniques, and ways to match your steps to the music.

"All Levels" mean both new and experienced dancers are welcome.

There are always new figures and different combinations to learn.

Each class of our 4 week Series starts with a review and then introduces new patterns and adds new building blocks to the foundation of your social

dancing.

Tuesday night is Salsa night at Ballroom Dance Academy, and the dance floor is sizzling! We love to Salsa and we love to teach people this earthy, exciting, evolving style of dance. We offer progressive classes for all dance levels, from drop-in beginners to invitation-only advanced Salseros and Salseras. We believe that Salsa dancing is much more than memorizing a series of patterns and shines. True Salsa dancing involves inhabiting the music from the inside out. So start listening to those timbales and get yourself down to our classes!

ARGENTINE TANGO

EVERY SUNDAY MORNING AT 11:00AM

A romantic and improvisational conversation between equal partners, the Argentine Tango is popular all over the globe. Beyond the basics, in our ongoing class we'll explore different types of walks (caminadas), navigating the dance floor (cadencias, ocho cortado, etc), and stationary/circular patterns

(ochos and molinetes), always focusing on proper form and technique. All levels welcome.

Mondays & Thursdays

7:00 - 9:00 PM

We offer ongoing American Style Bronze and Silver Teacher Training classes. These classes are ideal for adults who are considering a career as a dance teacher, or who would like to improve their own dancing.

If you dream of a career in Ballroom Dance, this program will teach you all the elements and techniques for 17 American Style dances based on the newly revised, updated, and streamlined DVIDA ® Syllabus (2023). The curriculum is divided by the style of dance into four 4-month quarters in which you will learn the leaders' and followers' roles. You will also learn the musical elements and history of each dance, and most importantly, how to share the joy of dancing with your students.

Teaching dance is a career option for everyone, even if you have little or no prior dance experience! We will teach you everything you need to know for a successful career as a ballroom dance teacher.
