Dear MBDS Members,

Monterey Bay Dental Society is hosting a Shred & E-Waste Event to help you securely dispose of sensitive documents and outdated electronics. Plus, enjoy delicious tacos from Tacos Don Beto while you’re there!

📅 Date: Thursday, August 28, 2025

📍 Location: MBDS-Ryan Ranch 8 Harris Court, Monterey, CA 93940

⏰ Time: 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM

✔ Document Shredding – Protect sensitive information and comply with HIPAA regulations.

♻ E-Waste Recycling – Safely dispose of old computers, printers, hard drives, and more.

🌮 Tacos Don Beto Food Truck – Free tacos for MBDS members!*

What to Bring:

✅ Confidential papers (staples & paper clips OK)

✅ Office electronics (computers, printers, etc.)

🚫 Items NOT accepted: binders, banana clips, metal fasteners, spiral binds, metal 1/4 inch or more

Patient Document Retention Guidelines:

• Active patients: Indefinitely
• Inactive adults: 10 years from the date last seen
• Minor patients: 7 years from the last treatment or 1 year past the patient’s 18th birthday, whichever is longer.

*Meal tickets will be provided at check-in for MBDS members. Non-members may purchase food at their own expense.
