Please welcome our 2026 NCMS President Scott Dhupar, MD | | |
Dear Colleagues,
It is a profound honor to stand before you today as the new President of the Northern Colorado Medical Society. Having watched this organization grow through the tireless efforts of my predecessors and colleagues, I am deeply humbled by the trust you have placed in me. Our profession continues to face complex shifts – from legislative hurdles to the rapid integration of new technologies like AI – but the strength of NCMS has always resided in our collective expertise and our shared commitment to the bond between physician and patient.
I am encouraged by the American Medical Association National Advocacy Conference that I attended last week. I had the opportunity to meet with legislators and aides to advocate for the issues that are most important to physicians and our patients. We received warm receptions and had substantive discussions on Medicare payments, the support of Medicaid, and a Prior Authorization Bill that is currently in Congress. We will continue our efforts on behalf of the physicians NCMS represents.
As a physician and President of NCMS, I am dedicated to ensuring access to healthcare for all Coloradoans. Although technology is a great enabler for many of us to obtain medical care and our medical records, it also creates barriers for some (especially the elderly, indigent, or those who are not technologically sophisticated). If an individual is not able to traverse the medical technology infrastructure, it becomes difficult to obtain the healthcare that may be needed. My goal over the next year is to decrease the barriers that technology sometimes creates for specific marginalized populations.
As we move forward, I invite each of you to be involved-whether by joining a committee, contributing to our legislative efforts, or simply attending our upcoming NCMS Board of Directors Meeting on March 11, 2026, at the Timnath City Center. Our impact in the state legislature and our local community is directly tied to the size and activity of our membership. Together, we will ensure that Northern Colorado remains a model of excellence for high-quality, physician-led healthcare.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me directly or contact Crystal Goodman.
Warm regards
Scott Dhupar, MD
President North Colorado Medical Society

Thank you Dr. Narina Grove for your service as 2025 NCMS President
Dr. Narina Grove has made quite an impact with her human trafficking initiatives. This includes partnering with A Courageous Rose, a local survivors advocacy group, and an investigator with the Larimer County Cyber Security Unit. They presented at our 2025 Annual Meeting and created an on-demand CME. I encourage you to check it out here.
She's also serving on the board of the Jubilee Project with Dr. Aaron Hoover who started the non-profit to provide free tattoo removal for trafficking victims who were branded. If you'd like more information about this project contact Dr. Narina Grove.

In honor of National Doctor’s Day, physicians across Colorado are invited to attend a dynamic, half-day accredited CME conference designed for all specialties and can include non-physician providers.
Hosted by Dr. Scott Dhupar and the expert team at Nadora Healthcare, this interactive program delivers practical, hands-on clinical education applicable to physicians in primary care, internal medicine, pediatrics, OB/GYN, emergency medicine, psychiatry, general surgery, orthopedics, and beyond.
While the program includes musculoskeletal and orthopedic-based learning, the content is intentionally structured to support real-world decision-making across disciplines—because physicians in every specialty evaluate injuries, manage pain, and determine when imaging or further testing is necessary.
What to Expect
The conference features 45-minute small-group breakout sessions focused on practical skill-building and clinical application.
Participants will:
- Identify and employ processes for intermittent care to safeguard patients from further injury
- Engage in hands-on techniques for efficient, high-yield physical examinations
- Clarify appropriate criteria for additional testing and imaging
- Strengthen diagnostic confidence in injury-related presentations
- Network with physicians from across specialties
During registration, attendees will select preferred topics for breakout sessions. The final agenda will be built around the most requested areas to ensure the education is relevant and high-impact. A detailed schedule will be provided at the event.
Registration Information
- Free for physician members of the Northern Colorado Medical Society and the Colorado Medical Society, as well as medical students
- $79 for non-member clinical professionals (PAs, NPs, and others)

| | 2025 Physician of the Year Dr. Sean Pazauskie | | | | |
Please congratulate Dr. Sean Pauzauskie for receiving the 2025 Physician of the Year award.
As a practicing hospital-based neurologist, past president of the Northern Colorado Medical Society and current president-elect of the Colorado Medical Society, he was successful in drafting legislation protecting individuals' neural rights. On April 17, 2024, Governor Pollis signed HB24-1058 into law, which made the state of Colorado the first in the nation to extend its state consumer data privacy law, the Colorado Privacy Act, to protect neural data.
Neurotechnologies refer to devices that can record or alter the activity of the nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves. Neurotechnology devices can be either invasive (implantable) or non-invasive (wearable). While these devices have existed within clinical (medical) and research settings for decades, they are increasingly being developed and deployed outside health care settings for the consumer market with potential abuses by for-profit companies.
