Garfield Student Clubs! -Small Grants: Building Leadership Team Update

The Garfield BLT met in October to approve small grant requests. The PTSA budgeted $20,000 for small grants in 2025/6 and almost $8,000 in funding was approved. This included support for deeper trauma-informed counseling services, a field trip to the Northwest African American Museum, and $350 each for a wide-ranging set of clubs.

Small grants are voted on three times a year, so an opportunity will come around in Winter and Spring to apply. If your student is a part of a club, encourage them to reach out and find out more about how they can apply and receive funding to support their endeavors.
