This past Sunday was full of connection and community!
✨ Our Outreach volunteers packed 125 lunches for Church of the Common Ground, serving our neighbors in need.
📖 The Rev. Dr. Gabrielle Thomas led Sunday formation. She’ll be back this week to lead formation and preach at the 10:15 am service.
⛳ The Young Adults group hit Puttshack for a mini golf event and had a great turnout with 10 people joining in on the fun.
🍩 This Sunday, don’t miss donuts provided by the Men of HI — and a very special time of baptisms during worship.

✨ Our Rector spent the beginning of this week with Holy Innocents Church in Parmelee, SD, as they consecrated their new building. Our parish helped fund the building of a breezeway connecting their Sanctuary to the Parish Hall.
🙏 At the annual Clergy Conference, Stewart and Ruth joined clergy from both the Diocese of Atlanta and the Diocese of Georgia for a joint gathering with Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe.

Together. For Good.
The fourth weekly reflection from our Stewardship Team member, Lindsey Parrish
As we continue our journey of faith together, we want to reflect on stewardship—not just as a financial commitment, but as a vital spiritual practice that deepens our connection with God and with one another.
Stewardship is often seen through the lens of giving, but it is much more than that. It is about recognizing that everything we have—our time, talents, and treasure—is a gift from God. As stewards, we are called to manage these gifts wisely, not out of obligation, but as an expression of gratitude and faith.
When we practice stewardship, we are responding to God’s abundant generosity by offering back that with which we have been entrusted. This includes not only giving financially but also sharing our time, our skills, and our love with the community around us. Through acts of service and commitment, we grow in our spiritual lives and participate in God’s call in our lives.
In the Episcopal tradition, stewardship is a way to nurture a life of prayer, care, and compassion. It is an invitation to align our hearts and actions with God’s will, creating a deeper sense of purpose in all that we do. As we embrace this practice, we not only support the life and mission of our church but also find ourselves growing closer to Christ and to one another.
Let us move forward together, embracing stewardship as a joyful and holy practice. Yes, during this stewardship campaign, we encourage everyone to consider financial pledges in response to God’s faithfulness so that the Church can continue its ministries and discern areas for growth. We also invite you to consider stewardship as a year-round practice that includes time, talent, and treasure as a joyful response to God’s enduring faithfulness. Together. For Good.

Foyers – Allergy Friendly Group
Looking for a way to connect without the worry of shared meals? We’re finalizing our Foyers groups and are excited to offer a “no food” group for anyone with dietary restrictions. In this group, hosts will provide the setting (and wine, if they choose!) while each guest brings their own safe food. It’s a relaxed way to enjoy fellowship with parishioners, without the stress of navigating dietary concerns.

FOMA Concert: EarlyBird
October 5, 4:30 PM
EarlyBird returns to Holy Innocents’ Friends of Music series with Silk & Sequins, an hour-long concert where sacred light meets sequined shimmer. Join us on Sunday, October 5, at 4:30 PM in the chapel for a radiant journey of sound, featuring six local professional singers.
From the brilliance of Monteverdi and Lassus to the delicate colors of Takemitsu and Izawa, and the lush lyricism of Finzi and Stanford, the program traverses centuries and cultures. Four evocative sets — Thrones in the Spotlight, Brush Strokes, Petals and Sky, and The Gilded Stage — weave together Renaissance splendor, Japanese-inspired delicacy, English romanticism, and contemporary anthems of love, identity, and resilience. At once intimate and celebratory, Silk & Sequins invites us to see our true colors and embrace the glittering fullness of self.
Save the Date: The Atlanta Gay Men's Chorus returns December 14, 4:00 PM!

Warning about email scammers
When you receive an email from a Holy Innocents staff member, please check if the sender's email address ends with 'holyinnocents.org'. If it does not, it is likely not from us. Unfortunately, some individuals are attempting to scam various church members, posing as clergy and requesting gift cards. We never ask for money in this way. If someone claiming to be Bill, Stewart, Ruth, or another staff member contacts you, please let us know immediately. Report the email, block the sender, and delete the message. If you have any doubts, please give us a call.
