Principal's Message

We are already actively engaged with admissions/enrollment planning for the 2027-2028 school year. Many tours have been given with families very eager to enroll their children at Guardian Angels next school year. We have experienced an increase in enrollment in each of the previous seven years and anticipate similar interest for next year. Overall, we are up 175 students during this time period. As availability has become more limited in many grade levels, we are once again beginning the re-enrollment and new student registration processes in the Fall. The following re-enrollment and new student registration timeframes have been established.

  • All current families will be sent a reenrollment form confirming their intent for the 27-28 school year on Friday, November 13. Reenrollment fees must be paid at this time to confirm reenrollment. Reenrollment forms are due Wednesday, November 18.
  • All current families wishing to enroll a new student will be sent the link to do so on Friday, November 20. All new student enrollments for current families must be received by Monday, November 23. Your child's birth certificate, baptismal certificate if Catholic, and proof of residence are needed for new student enrollment.
  • Registration link opens on December 8, at 10:00 am for students of new families.
  • New families will be notified of acceptance on January 22.

Admissions Activities

  • November 5, 5:00-7:00 Open House Preschool/PK
  • November 12, 9:00-10:30 Informational Coffee KDG-8
  • December 3, 6:00-7:30 Informational Coffee KDG-8

Please encourage families interested in enrolling their children at Guardian Angels to attend one of the upcoming Informational Coffees or to contact the school office to set up a personal tour.

God bless,

Corey

School News

Recognizing Our Amazing Teachers!

A huge appreciation to our amazing Preschool and PreK Teams for the love, patience, creativity, and dedication you pour into our littlest Angels each day! You are building the foundation for a lifetime of learning while helping our youngest students feel safe, loved, confident and excited to come to school. From the first smiles in the morning to the countless little moments of growth throughout the day, your impact is truly immeasurable. We are so grateful for the joy, energy, and hear you bring to our school and for the incredible way you care for our littlest Angels. If you’d like to send a note of thanks to our Preschool and PreK teams you may do so here.

Halloween Party Volunteers

Any parent planning to attend your child's class Halloween Party should please complete this form. This helps us streamline the check-in process at the front desk. As a reminder, all volunteers must be Safe Parish trained and compliant.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place on October 14 and 15 for our 6th-8th grade students and our Preschool and Pre-K students.

6th-8th Grade:

7th and 8th Grade

Parent-Teacher Conferences will look a little different this year as we work to make conferences as meaningful and collaborative as possible for our families. We will begin by having teachers reach out to families they would like to meet with for a team conference, allowing the appropriate members of the student’s educational team to be present and work together to support each child. Once these conferences have been scheduled, we will open any remaining conference times to families who would like to request a meeting with their child’s teachers. We appreciate your flexibility as we make this adjustment and look forward to partnering with you to support your child’s continued growth and success.

At this time, if there is something you would like to discuss with your child’s teachers, please fill out the form for a conference time. If you have not received an invitation from your child’s teachers to meet, please know that this is intentional. It means your child is currently meeting classroom academic standards and expectations and is demonstrating appropriate behavior and social growth. Our goal is to be respectful of your time while still making sure families have an opportunity to connect with teachers whenever there is a question, concern, or topic they would like to discuss.

6th Grade

Ms. Myres and Mrs. Pincumbe will be seeing parents together. Please fill out the form here for your time.

Preschool and Pre-K:

Preschool and Prekindergarten teachers will select their teacher and a 15-minute slot that works for them here. Please connect directly with your student’s teacher if you need to change your time

EdChoice Documentation

EdChoice

Each family accepting the EdChoice scholarship received an EdChoice Award letter mailed from the Ohio Department of Education and Workplace. As a school, we are required to retain this document at the school. If you have not sent this form to the school yet, please do so this ASAP. If you misplaced your letter or did not receive one, please fill out the template here and return to the school office. Please note, this is for each family accepting their approved scholarship and is not the application itself. Only complete this set if you have previously submitted an EdChoice scholarship application for the 2026-2027 school year.

Preschool Open House

A Preschool Open House will be held Thursday, November 5th from 5-7 pm. This event is specifically for anyone considering enrolling their child(ren) in the preschool and/or pre-k program for the 2027-2028 school year. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP through the link below.

Upcoming Admissions Events

This year, we are hosting two Informational Coffee Sessions. These small group sessions create the opportunity for those interested in Guardian Angels to meet Corey, have their questions answered on a personal level, and see the school in action! These are for anyone considering enrolling their child(ren) in kindergarten through eighth grade for the 2027-2028 school year. Please RSVP through the appropriate link below and share it with anyone who is interested in learning more about Guardian Angels School.

Synod 2027

As we prepare for the excitement and busyness of the 2026-2027 school year, we wanted to make sure you knew about a unique opportunity this fall to contribute to the direction of our school, and our wider Catholic community—Synod 2027.

A Synod is a prayerful process in which the faithful share personal reflections on how they encounter Christ in the local Church. Then, Church leadership, in our case Archbishop Robert Casey, prayerfully considers those reflections to determine how God is speaking through His people.  The Synod is not a vote and will not change any Church doctrine or dogma. It is a determination of the archdiocese’s top pastoral priorities. The outcome could impact school communities, so we encourage as many people participating as possible. Your main opportunity to participate is by signing up and attending a Conversations in the Spirit session, followed by participating in an online survey called the Disciple Maker Index.

For more information, click here.

A Family Centered in Christ

Family life is often busy and chaotic. It's important to find a center that holds everything together. For a Catholic family, that center is Jesus. He gives us strength to order our priorities and find peace when life gets demanding. To read more, click here.

Guardian Angels Prayer Partner Program

The Guardian Angels Prayer Partner program was set up as part of the preparation for First Communion.  Each second grade child is paired with an adult from our parish and they are asked to pray for each other throughout the year.  It is not a huge time commitment. We try to get together 3-4 times throughout the school year to meet each other and go to mass with each other. During the times they are not together they are asked to pray for each other.

If you are interested in being part of this wonderful program, you will need to complete the Safe Environment Training Program. Please see the information below from our Safe Environment Coordinator, Mrs. Joan Schoenhoeft.

In accordance with the Archdiocese of Cincinnati’s Decree on Child Protection, any adult (18+) who volunteers in a capacity that involves contact with youth must meet specific safe environment requirements before they can begin volunteering.

To become eligible, all volunteers must complete the following steps:

  1. Register for SafeParish
  2. Complete the Online Background Check
  3. Complete the Child Protection Training Bulletin
  4. Acknowledge Decree

To maintain good standing, you will also be required to complete short (5 minutes), ongoing quarterly training bulletins sent via email.

We are so blessed to have wonderful volunteers at G.A. and it is our great desire that you will continue as a prayer partner for our youth.

If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to me at Jschoenhoeft@gaparish.org, or 513-624-2195, and I will be happy to send you detailed instructions on how to complete the above requirements.

Young Men's Faith & Fellowship

Children's Choir

The GA School Children’s Choir is open the students in grades 4-8. The choir primarily sings the Tuesday 8:15 School Mass with selected monthly weekend Masses. This ministry is open year round. There is no deadline to enroll, as we know ability to participate may be dependent upon extracurricular and sports schedules. However, if your child has interest in joining later in the year, please email Matt Spencer, Associate Director of Worship at matts@sggparish.org and give him a head up if you plan to enroll later. This will help with planning repertoire and potentially participating in the regional Pueri Cantores Children’s Choir Festival in February.

Greeters and Gift Bearers Needed

Greeters and gift bearers are needed for all 3 weekend Masses. Please consider helping out in these important ministries! This helps the ushers prepare for Mass and not have to scramble to find gift bearers at the last minute. To sign up, click here.

Fathers Team

Every Friday, GA Fathers meet at 6:05 am to discuss various topics of interest and importance to our roles as dads, husbands, and “brothers”. Each week is a different topic, with outside speakers occasionally. All GA fathers are invited to join in person in Room B (downstairs) or via Zoom. Contact us at GAfathersteam@gmail.com for the Zoom link and for any other info on the group.

Cookie Ministry

Guardian Angels School Cookie Ministry teams up with the Parish Peanut Butter group to feed families in need. The Peanut Butter group makes 1,500 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. GA students donate cookies. All donations are taken to St. Francis Seraph Soup Kitchen.

Students are asked to bring in two dozen cookies, brownies, or rice krispie bars on their classroom's designated day. Treats need to be bagged, with two treats per bag. Donations of small water bottles, jars of jelly, and individually prepackaged snacks are also needed.

All kindergarten classes are responsible for the next donation on Monday, October 19th. A complete schedule for the school year is attached.

Any children involved in the baking or packing of the treats can count their time toward Service to the Poor and Vulnerable.

If your child will be absent or late to school, please call the main school office by 8:00 a.m. each morning. All parents needing to report their child absent or late to school should call using the main school phone number (513) 624-3141.

Kroger Community Rewards offers a great way for you to support our school's technology fund and you don't have to spend a penny. You can search for GA or use our NPO number, 80200. The amount Guardian Angels receives depends on the points our supporters rack up while grocery shopping.

Your ad and participation make the bulletin successful, and you attract customers! If interested, please contact Diocesan at Diocesan.com/Business or call 1-800-282-5106.
