King's Beach UV Pilot Program Updates

Pilot Update

To address the seaweed issue, Dandreo is scheduled to install new, reinforced, and removable screens in the culverts this Thursday, June 19th. These screens are designed to prevent seaweed from re-entering the culverts and interfering with the pumps and UV system. Additionally, before installation, Dandreo will clear any existing seaweed and debris from the culverts.

Daily monitoring and maintenance will be performed for these screens to remove accumulated seaweed and debris.

We plan to restart the pumps and UV system on Friday, June 20th. Provided there are no issues, the UV Pilot will return to continuous operation on Friday.
