We are excited to see a growing interest in the AMAC Airport Business Diversity Conference each year! Online registration ended on Friday, July 19, 2024. ONSITE registration begins on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at 12 pm at the Grand Hyatt Nashville on Level 2.

Investing in America: USDOT Wealth Creation Event – Nashville, TN

On Monday, August 5, at the Grand Hyatt Nashville, the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) will host a Wealth Creation Outreach event in collaboration with the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC), Nashville International Airport (BNA), and WeGo Public Transit/Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority (WeGo).


Event attendance is complimentary. Registration is strongly encouraged—register here! This event aims to connect USDOT and local transportation partners with the greater Nashville local and small business communities. The forum will include discussions about the initiatives and the opportunities associated with federally funded infrastructure projects, including those made possible by the billions allocated in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. As the title reflects, this tour supports the Biden-Harris Administration’s “Investing in America” wealth creation agenda, featuring ongoing engagement with public and private industry partners, organizations, advocacy groups, and USDOT.

AMAC x ATL to Host a Women in Aviation Summit

We have partnered with Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) to host the inaugural She SOARS—Women in Aviation Summit at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis from October 1–2, 2024. Register or become a sponsor today!

AMAC Los Angeles Chapter Summer Soirée: Leadership Spotlight 

On July 16, 2024, the AMAC Los Angeles Chapter hosted its inaugural Summer Soirée Leadership Spotlight, featuring LAWA CEO John Ackerman as the guest of honor. The intimate event offered insights into the new leader's vision and facilitated connections among aviation industry leaders.  


AMAC President & CEO Eboni Wimbush and BWI Airport CEO & AMAC Board Chair Ricky Smith highlighted how AMAC and chapters like AMAC Los Angeles are blazing new pathways for aviation opportunity and economic inclusion. Please join our local chapter meetings to hear more about the exciting initiatives.

AMAC Launches Atlanta Chapter

The AMAC Atlanta Chapter was officially launched on July 22, 2024. The theme, "Honoring the Legacy, Shaping the Future: The Launch of AMAC Atlanta," celebrates the 50th anniversary of the election of Atlanta's First Black Mayor and the architect of the city's diversity and inclusion program, Maynard H. Jackson, Jr.


The chapter kick-off meeting introduced Atlanta to AMAC—the only national, non-profit trade association dedicated to advancing the full participation of minorities and women in employment and contracting opportunities throughout the aviation and aerospace industries. Additionally, the AMAC Atlanta Chapter leadership was highlighted and the event closed with a proclamation presentation by Byron Amos, Atlanta City Council Transportation Committee Chair.

Recruitment of Small Diverse Businesses for Clark's MBA Style Strategic Partnership Program

Clark Construction is recruiting potential candidates for the upcoming fall session of its nationally renowned small business training program, the Strategic Partnership Training Program. The deadline to apply is August 23, 2024.


The executive MBA Style Program is designed to bolster and enhance the capabilities of local, small, disadvantaged, minority, women, veteran-owned and diverse businesses in the construction industry. It is structured in an interactive format, focusing on providing core construction management and business skills to its participants. Courses are taught by Clark and local industry experts, and they include classroom learning, team projects, and presentations by the trainees. The program is free of charge for small businesses/trainees.


The Program will start with an orientation in September and end in May. After clicking on the online application, the San Francisco, California location must be selected. 


The classes will be held in a hybrid format with select in-person classes/activities.
