This week, students and staff enjoyed the visit from Dilly’s Ice Cream truck as part of our STAR Growth Testing Celebration.

We are very pleased to report that the Western Association of School and Colleges (WASC) has determined that The Winston School meets the ACS WASC criteria for accreditation for another six years!  This determination reflects the ongoing confidence in Winston, so earning the six year accreditation is a real accomplishment.  According to the Commission, "An accredited school is focused on a mission and goals for students; it is student-oriented and examines its students’ performance continuously; it accepts objective evaluation from a team of outside peer professionals trained by ACS WASC; it maintains a qualified faculty within an effectively organized school; it collaboratively assesses the quality of its educational programs on a regular basis; and it plans for the future."

Thank you to The Winston School Board of Directors, our talented teachers and staff, and hard-working students.  We would also like to thank the parents who met with the Visiting Committee to share their firsthand experiences of our school culture and support for student personal and academic growth.

Lastly, we would like to acknowledge and thank our WASC Committee and the entire Winston Staff for their exceptional dedication and support during the entire process.
