Advent Pilgrimage: A Journey Through Ecological Virtues
This Advent, the Laudato Si' Movement invites us to walk a global spiritual pilgrimage—seven stops, seven ecological virtues, one path toward the manger. Wherever you are, you can join this movement and rediscover the hope that is being reborn. Begin your journey here.
Christmas Flower Remembrances
If you would like to dedicate Christmas flowers in memory of a loved one or in honor of someone, please email the name(s) to info@oratorychurch.org or write the names on your parish giving envelopes. We will remember them at the 10:00pm Christmas Eve Mass. The names will be posted in the narthex of both churches.
SJAC Hosts Advent Collection for SMSS
The Oratory Social Justice Action Committee (SJAC) is hosting an Advent collection for the pop-up shop at St. Mary's Star of the Sea (SMSS) in Carroll Gardens. Please take a look at this "wish list" that includes the most urgent items needed for our migrant neighbors—plus a few Christmas treats for the children! We would very much appreciate your generous participation.
Additionally, similar new and gently used donations can be dropped off at SMSS, located at 467 Court Street. Please text Mary Carriero at 718-501-8510 to coordinate a drop-off date and time.
SJAC Seeking Mentors
The Social Justice Action Committee (SJAC) is seeking mentors for 18–20 year old asylum seekers. These incredible—and incredibly vulnerable—young people benefit greatly when supported by trusted adults who can help them navigate life in a new city. Several parishioners are already serving as mentors, and there are opportunities to meet potential mentees at various locations and at different times of the day. Online training is also available. If you’re interested in learning more, please contact Lou Kuhlmann at lrkuhlmann@gmail.com. Thank you very much for your consideration.
