Accessing JCMS
Some links on jcmsjournal.org and in our quarterly emails will take you to paywalled content on Project Muse’s website. SCMS members and other JCMS subscribers have digital access to JCMS (from 1999 to the current issue). To access JCMS using the SCMS proxy, click here. You will be asked to log in using your cmstudies.org credentials. Once you log in, simply click on the link that reads “Click Here for Access.” Once you do that, you’ll be taken to the JCMS homepage on Project Muse. And, more to the point, you’ll be logged into a proxy which will give you access to JCMS on Project Muse: all the links on our website and in our email should work as normal.
If you have access to JCMS on Project Muse through an institutional proxy (e.g., through your college or university library), then you can use that instead if you prefer. Simply log in through your library (or other institutional portal) as you normally would. (You may well be asked to log in through your institution when you first click on a link on our website or in our emails.) If your browser is set up to use your institution’s proxy automatically, and your institution does not have access to JCMS, you may need to use a different browser, reconfigure your proxy settings, or use “private” browsing to access JCMS through the SCMS proxy.
