Meet Osamu Kikima and his work with Theory U and LSP
"
My Name is Osamu Kikima. I am a professor, Faculty of Management Kyusyu Sangyo University where is in Fukuoka city of Japan. I have studied on organizational learning, organizational development and communication.

After I was trained by Robert Rasmussen in January 2014 in Japan, I have been keen on integrating management theory and LSP method and developing new LSP applications. Theory U with LSP is one of my studies."

Theory U - A trigger for LSP application development
"Japanese college students do not tell their opinions from usual times. I thought that methods of LSP will help bring out the thoughts of Japanese college students and deepen their learning at university. When I began using LSP, the method of LSP were as expected able to draw out their views, but I wanted them to take themselves deeper into their own values, face it and use them as opportunities to change themselves.

I continued to think about ways to self-transformation of Japanese student. At one point, I felt that Theory U would solve the problem.

I am a researcher of organizational theory and I already knew about Theory U. However, I did not do a Theory U workshop for students. There are some difficulties in practicing Theory U so I thought that combining it with methods of LSP was very effective:
1. Theory U is very high abstractive theory, so it is very difficult to understand. But LSP can give us concrete experience to understand theory U.
2. Normal workshops of theory U usually spend a lot of hours or several days. With LSP I can do it much shorter.
3. Theory U requires a high-level dialogue skill. But LSP can give powerful communication by LSP methods.

I told Masao Ishihara and Takashi Hasunuma about my idea. While getting their cooperation, I started to develop applications assuming that I will use it in class at the university. In particular, I could not develop this program without the excellent idea of Ishihara Masao in the early stage of development................"
