FIRST GRADE DIVES INTO PENGUIN RESEARCH ADVENTURE
Inspired by their penguin exploration, first grade students embarked on a mission to identify all seventeen penguin species. They dove into their research reading through books and checklists, uncovering each species' unique traits. In all this excitement, a spontaneous idea emerged: "Since there are seventeen of us and seventeen species, let's each pick one and share it with the class!" And so they did! The student-driven initiative culminated on Valentine's Day, as they proudly presented their findings to their families.

WEATHER FORECASTING FUN
During this week's Tecolote Tuesday, our EK students took on the local weather scene! Our youngest Owls transformed into various weather conditions, including the sun, a cloud, lightning, rain, snow, a twister, a hurricane, and even a rainbow, with two students playing the part of news reporters. It was an adorable and heartwarming original skit that showcased EK's grasp of meteorology and impressive comedic timing. The performance brought on lots of smiles and a well-deserved standing ovation!
