Strengthening the Call: Minister’s Renewal Institute

Dr. Cliff Sanders

Rev. Bill Search

Mark your calendars for September 17-19, 2026, and join us on campus as we proudly revive a cherished tradition that has shaped our campus and encouraged ministry leaders for many years: the Minister’s Renewal Institute (MRI)!

This year’s institute holds a special significance as it coincides with the 2026 Church of God Oklahoma General Assembly, creating a truly unique opportunity for shared learning. Grounded in our Wesleyan perspective, our 2026 theme—Character and Competence: Challenges in Ministry Since the First Century—will explore the timeless qualities of effective ministry leadership required to navigate an ever-changing world.

We are honored to welcome Rev. Dr. Cliff Sanders and Rev. Bill Search as our keynote speakers for this year’s event. Whether you are serving on the front lines of pastoral leadership or preparing for future ministry, this gathering is designed to help you step away for intentional fellowship, theological study, and mutual encouragement so you can return to your calling refreshed and inspired.

Celebrating Excellence:

School of Ministry Accepted into ATS

In an incredible milestone for our institution, MACU’s School of Ministry has been officially accepted into the Association of Theological Schools (ATS). This prestigious recognition represents a significant step forward in our mission to provide the highest standard of theological education.

Acceptance into ATS affirms the academic rigor, spiritual depth, and professional integrity of our programs. It ensures that our students continue to receive a premier, fully aligned education that prepares them to dream bigger and do greater for the Kingdom of God. We celebrate this achievement as a testament to the hard work of our faculty and staff, and above all, to God’s continued favor on our University.

Building for the Future: Campus Construction Update

If you have visited campus recently, you have likely noticed that big things are underway! As part of our commitment to "Preparing People to do Greater Things for God and His Kingdom," the historic Fowler Center is being safely demolished to pave the way for a brand-new Student Center.

This intentional space is designed with our students in mind—featuring modern student gathering spaces, enhanced hospitality and event capabilities, improved campus visitor experiences, and vibrant new opportunities for student life and community engagement. We look forward to sharing regular updates as construction progresses and this vision comes to life!

This space, currently home to the Fowler Center and outdoor courts, will soon be transformed into our new Student Center and outdoor community area as we continue building for the future.
