Dear CPC Family,
Children are a wonder. Their laughter, curiosity, and sometimes wonderfully unfiltered observations can offer us fresh perspectives on life and remind us of truths we might otherwise overlook. Whether we encounter children in our families, neighborhoods, workplaces, or community, their presence can be a gift to us all. And even when our daily lives bring us little direct contact with children, we share in the joy and responsibility of nurturing the next generation.
This Sunday in worship, we’ll reflect on Jesus’ interactions with children and the important place they hold in his ministry. Through his example, we are reminded of the love, care, and welcome that every child deserves.
May all of us continue to nurture the next generation with compassion and celebrate the gifts children bring into our lives.
I look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
In Christ,
Betsey
Pastor Betsey Moe

Fall Sermon Series through October 25
“Behold!” is a word that appears throughout both the Old and New Testaments—a call to pause, pay attention, and recognize the presence and work of God. This fall in worship, we will behold God with awe and wonder: the God who created the cosmos, the natural world, and the astonishing creatures that inhabit it; the God whose handiwork can be glimpsed in the rich diversity of cultures around the world, in human ingenuity and compassion, in the changes and discoveries that come with age, and even in the ordinary moments of our everyday lives. Together, we will behold the many ways God’s presence and creativity surround us!
October
18 – “Behold God’s Truth From Children” Matthew 18:1-5 and 19:13-15
25 – “Behold God’s Glory in the Ordinary” Romans 12:1-3, 9-21, The Message

Idaho Liberty Bell Stopping at City Hall
Did you know that the Idaho State Capitol bears a replica of the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia? The bell was installed on the Capitol steps in 1951, and this year, as part of America's 250th birthday, the bell was restored at Foundry Christoph of South Carolina, the U.S. branch of the bell’s original foundry.
Before the bell returns to the Capitol, it is on tour for all Idahoans to enjoy. On Monday, October 26, the bell will be stopping at the Post Falls City Hall, right next to the church. You are invited to come to a short program at 10:30 a.m.; Pastor Betsey will give the invocation, and Mayor Randy Westlund will speak. Come, gather with the Post Falls community and reflect on the ideal of liberty!
