Brent brings extensive industry experience, strong customer and manufacturer relationships, and a unique connection to HMC that began early in his career.
Brent’s history with HMC goes back to his teenage years, when he began working in the warehouse as one of just four warehouse associates. He continued working with HMC during college breaks while earning an associate degree from Texas Tech and a bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University. After graduating, Brent returned to HMC, gaining experience in inside sales, commercial quotations, and eventually outside sales across West Texas, Dallas/Fort Worth, and Central Texas.
Throughout his career, Brent has built a well-rounded understanding of the industry from multiple perspectives. His experience includes contractor and wholesaler sales, outside sales, and most recently, Contractor/Wholesaler Business Development Manager. This diverse background gives Brent valuable insight into the needs of contractors, wholesalers, manufacturers, and customers throughout the markets HMC serves.
After receiving a call from HMC with an opportunity to return, Brent decided to come back to where his career began. As Group Manager for FireWaterGroup, he will use his industry knowledge, relationships, and sales experience to support the team, strengthen customer and manufacturer partnerships, and help identify opportunities for continued growth.
Outside of work, Brent enjoys spending time with his wife, Angela, and their daughters, Addy and Ava. They spend much of their time supporting the girls on the softball field at Grayson College and Timber Creek High School. Brent also enjoys deer and hog hunting with Ava, and when time allows, the entire family enjoys fishing along the Texas Gulf Coast.
In his new role, Brent will report directly to Ryan Hurst, who will be transitioning into his new leadership role as Vice President of FireWaterGroup. Together, Ryan and Brent will work closely to support the FireWaterGroup team, strengthen customer and manufacturer relationships, and position the group for continued growth and success.
