Thanks for Supporting the 2026 Central Coast Yarn Crawl

I express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who showed up (in-person or online) to support the 2026 Central Coast Yarn Crawl last weekend. The event was a huge success for all 8 shops that participated! The shop owners met on Monday and are already planning the event for 2027. It will be the 1st weekend in March...we just need to decide whether we need 3 or 4 days for the event.

I especially enjoyed meeting people who love Local Yarn Shops and traveling along the beautiful California Coast to visit them!

My shop handed out ~200 tape measures as a gift with purchase during the event. You can purchase yours for $4 or request one as a gift with a $75 purchase. And you can still grab an event tote, now discounted 40%!

I didn't get much knitting done this week...due to post-crawl exhaustion. Hopefully next week, I'll have something exciting to share!

Embroidered Knits and Other New Favorite Books

A few weeks ago, I asked Stephanie to pick out some new books to add to the shop's selection and she really out-did herself!

One of my favorites is Embroidered Knits by Diana Loug. Christine was excited to try out the techniques from the book so she took home my Naima pullover to practice...and the results are stunning! The sweater is knit using Cotton + Merino by Juniper Moon Farm and I just got a ton of new colors in stock this past week!

And there's finally a Gnomes to Crochet book with 20 colorful crocheted gnomes to make, gift and love, from best-selling author, Val Pierce. For the knitters, Gnomes of Grimblewood continues to be a bestseller! Gnome Crochet Kits are also available.
