The article, written by Wall Street Journal reporter Lauren Weber, features students in the Division of Continuing Education’s Central Service Technician Program, which trains students in the decontamination, sterilization, assembly, storage and distribution of medical devices and equipment used in healthcare. Central service technicians are in high demand — LaGuardia's program helps fill in the gap, while also providing students with a clear pathway toward a well-paying career. In addition to students Fatima el Idrissi, Albermis De Los Angeles, Shyann Lynch, Weber also interviewed LaGuardia President Kenneth Adams for the piece.
