A Career Navigator helps individuals each step of the way as they discover and pursue the career that allows them to achieve a better life for themselves and those they care about.
Individuals seeking a fulfilling career can find long-term job search assistance to overcome barriers and face the unknowns of navigating their personal career path.

As a young teenager, Jaylend suffered from health conditions including three strokes. After losing the ability to talk, walk and communicate, he had a long road of recovery ahead of him. He began many months of physical therapy and learned how to do everything all over again without complaint or asking "why me?"
Cognitively, Jaylend recovered. However, physically, he still lacks control of his right foot and wears a leg brace as well as uses a cane for mobility. Ready to find employment after months of searching, Jaylend reached out to the Career Navigation Team.
Jaylend met with his Career Navigator for one-on-one discussions and guidance sessions. An individual career and financial plan was completed for Jaylend which established his employment goals and what action steps were required for each goal to be achieved.
His persistence paid off when he was offered a position as a Customer Service Associate with Dollar Tree. Starting employment is a vital milestone that provides stability, confidence and a chance to build an independent future.
