Leader Highlight
Maya Roytman, Co-Conference Chair
Maya is a third-year, undergraduate student at Loyola University Chicago pursuing degrees in Neuroscience and Public Health on the pre-health track. She was the co-founder and co-president of the AMWA branch at her university in 2020. She joined AMWA as a national member at the end of her freshman year and became involved in the Dance, Theater, and Medicine Committee, Physician Infertility Initiative, and a member of the 2021 Conference Planning Committee. Currently, she is serving as the 2021-2022 Co-Conference Chair. Outside of AMWA, some activities Maya is involved in include on-campus research, various student organizations, and being a Kaplan Student Brand Ambassador. She is amazed with the numerous opportunities AMWA provides to connect with other students who are also passionate about uplifting women in medicine, and she hopes that she can also serve as a role model for future AMWA members in her journey to becoming a physician and public health advocate. Feel free to follow her on Instagram @maya.v.roytman and @college.with.maya!
