Public Service Announcement: Temporary Parking Changes

McMahon Wintonbury Library is open! The parking lot is currently closed for exterior renovations and is expected to remain closed until the end of the month. Patrons may park at the Blue Hills Fire Department lot across the street during this time. We thank the Blue Hills Fire Department for their generosity and partnership as we complete this final phase of the project.

The Prosser Library parking garage is temporarily closed to vehicle and foot traffic. An oversized vehicle damaged the parking garage ceiling, and Public Works is working on repairs. At this time, we do not know when access to the parking garage will be restored. Handicap-accessible parking is available in front of Prosser Library along Tunxis Avenue, as well as in designated spots in the parking lot at the base of the bridge.

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with BPL

Hispanic/Latine Heritage Month is celebrated each year from September 15 to October 15, recognizing the significant contributions Hispanic/Latine Americans have made in the United States. This period offers the opportunity to amplify Hispanic, Latine, and Latin American voices and share knowledge about the vast diversity and richness of the various cultures present in the United States and the world.

Attend any of our upcoming programs, which include book and film discussions, live performances, and youth bilingual literacy programs. Ask about our collections in Spanish for all ages, available in print as well as through our online resources such as Hoopla, Libby, and Kanopy.
