Issue 3 - Economic Development for Arkansas

48 states have it. Arkansas doesn't.

Issue 3 is a ballot initiative supported by the ARA that will allow local governments to create economic development districts and adequately compete for investments in their local communities. But most importantly:

  • 48 states already have it, and Arkansas doesn't, making Arkansans unable to compete for economic development;
  • It doesn't raise taxes
  • It gives full local control for communities to determine what they need and how to utilize economic development districts

Want to know more about Issue 3 and what it could mean for Arkansas communities? On October 14th, during the PD Power Hour, we will host Clint and Gabe, who will be here to answer any questions you might have about Issue 3.

This is a wonderful opportunity for all of us to learn more about Issue 3 and develop a deeper understanding of how it works and how it will benefit Arkansas for years to come.

Interested in becoming a Major Investor?

Call the GCBOR Board Office or ARA to learn more about how you can get involved and make an impact through this important investment opportunity.

We’re happy to walk you through the process and answer any questions!

Starting this year, all National Association of REALTORS® members will be required to complete approved fair housing training in sync with the three-year Code of Ethics cycle from Jan. 1, 2025, through Dec. 31, 2027. You can satisfy this requirement online at no cost with Fairhaven 2.0, NAR’s innovative fair housing education requirement.

Go here to complete this requirement

Code of Ethics (CoE) vs. Continuing Education (CE)

The Code of Ethics is a course each NAR-ARA-GCBOR member takes upon joining the association and every three years in a cycle, for the duration of your membership. The Code of Ethics is what distinguishes a REALTOR® from a real estate agent. In order to reaffirm your commitment to being a REALTOR® you must retake the course every three years. It is online at nar.realtor for FREE.

The current cycle is Cycle 8 and runs from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2027.

Your Code of Ethics is not necessarily a continuing education class. It can be, but it is not CE unless clearly stated by the instructor.

Each time you take a Code of Ethics course, either online or through a licensed instructor, it is the agent's responsibility to send a copy to their local board for compliance and entry into the M1 system.

Code of Ethics does not go to the Arkansas Real Estate Commission; it goes to your local board for entry into the M1 database.

CE is what is required by the Arkansas Real Estate Commission for you to maintain a license to practice real estate in Arkansas.
