Barriers that small business and entrepreneurs face in rural New Mexico
Sometimes government seems to get in the way...
Late last week Representative Dow was at the legislative economic and rural development interim committee at New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas. Secretary Alicia Keyes of the New Mexico Economic Development Department made a presentation, which gave Representative Dow the opportunity to express many economic development and small business concerns that many of her constituents have raised.

When addressing Representative Dow's concerns, Secretary Keyes asked Representative Dow to compile a list of current barriers small businesses and entrepreneurs are facing in rural communities.

To gather this information, the survey below was created. It is a simple survey, but allows Representative Dow to compile a list of issues so that she can work the Secretary Keyes and leaders in other departments to address the barriers.

Thank you for sharing your issues.
