CHAMBER FOUNDATION

A NONPARTISAN, 501(C)(3) RESEARCH ARM TO PRODUCE ACTIONABLE, FUTURE-FOCUSED SOLUTIONS

The Delaware State Chamber of Commerce (DSCC) has renamed and repositioned its 501(c)(3) affiliate, formerly known as The Partnership, Inc., to the Delaware State Chamber Foundation. This change reflects the affiliate’s broadened mission to support research, programs, and initiatives that advance Delaware’s economic climate and the prosperity of all Delawareans.

Through nonpartisan research, data-driven analysis, and thoughtful collaboration, the Foundation will address the most pressing challenges facing the business community, track Delaware’s competitiveness over time, and contribute to turning insights into actionable policy changes. Read more >

LIGHTNING ROUND PRESENTATIONS: STATEWIDE PROJECTS

In a new twist on a fan-favorite segment, we are highlighting three projects that show how private investment and public–private initiaves are shaping Delaware’s future. ALOFT AeroArchitects will discuss its planned innovation center, which aims to create new opportunities in aviation and advanced manufacturing. The Downtown Dover Partnership will share how its latest renovation efforts are bringing new life to our capital city. And Starwood Capital Group will provide an update on the proposed Delaware City data center, a project that has generated significant public interest and conversation. ALOFT ACADEMY TAKES OFF

DEVELOPING THE NEXT GENERATION OF AVIATION MECHANICS IN SUSSEX COUNTY

In June 2025, ALOFT AeroArchitects launched the first cohort of ALOFT Academy, an in-house, fully compensated training program designed to develop the next generation of aircraft technicians and mechanics in Sussex County. Upon graduation in October 2025, participants will transition directly into positions at ALOFT’s FAA-certified repair station.

ALOFT Academy was designed to solve two challenges: meeting their growing workforce needs and expanding access to meaningful, well-paid careers in the aviation industry, especially for local residents. Read more >

Delaware Athletics hosted a networking breakfast with us on Thursday morning at the Whitney Athletic Center. With the University of Delaware’s recent transition to Conference USA, it was a great time to tour this state-of-the-art facility, which showcases how the University is developing student-athletes for success on and off the field.
