With New Budget Cycle For Many, Communication Is Key
As many organizations enter a new budget cycle, people are shifting from planning to action. With the new budgets taking effect for many organizations, at this time of year, there is often new initiatives, projects, or technology investments that have been planned and worked into that. While these plans may be approved or expected, the smoothest rollouts always come with good (and preferably early) coordination. For technology-related goals and initiatives, that is especially true in regards to communicating with your IT team that will support, enable, or implement these efforts.
From something as “simple” as implementing a new product or increased security feature to something as large as the plans for a location move or new building, it’s best for any organization that has plans for IT-related changed in their budgets to proactively reach out to their IT partners to share what was approved and outline their intended timelines for when they’d like to plan for implementation of things. This early communication helps IT teams assess resource needs, align priorities, identify potential dependencies, and plan for implementation in a realistic and efficient way to ease the burden of things later on when things might get busier. By engaging IT early in the cycle, organizations can reduce delays, avoid surprises, and set a strong foundation for successful execution throughout the coming year.
Ridge Support is here to help our partners realize their goals. If there were items discussed in your budget meetings and/or approved in your budgets that you’d like to move forward with, please reach out to our team to let us know what you’d like to move forward with and when you’d like to do so. If new items have come up as focus areas for the coming year, please relay that information to our team, as well – we can get the best outcomes for you the more we are aware of your ultimate goals and the more time we have to plan those implementations out for you.
