National Night Out - Oct. 6, 6-9 p.m.

Sunnyvale's public safety team invites you join us on Tuesday, Oct. 6 for our annual National Night Out celebration. The event will be at Town Center Park from 6 to 9 p.m.

This event helps strengthen our community by allowing us all to better connect with each other and build safer neighborhoods.

Our event will feature a live band, food vendors, and lots of opportunities to visit with public safety personnel and learn about how they partner with the community.

Sunnyvale is proud of the recognition this annual event brings to our community. The 2025 event ranked fourth in Texas and eighth nationally within the population category of 5,000 - 15,000.

Check our National Night Out web page for more information, including sponsorship and vendor opportunities.

Coffee With A Cop

Join Sunnyvale Police for National Coffee With A Cop from 8 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Joy Cafe, 3501 N. Beltline Road, Suite 115, in Sunnyvale.

This is a great opportunity to connect with the women and men who serve and protect our community. Enjoy strong coffee, strong community and get stronger together.

Commitment to Public Safety

Swearing In Sunnyvale Fire Rescue Members

During Monday's Town Council meeting, all members of the Town's Fire-Rescue team were formally sworn in. Taking the Firefighter Oath represents a new tradition for the department and will be required of all new firefighters going forward.

This new tradition represents the department's continued growth and commitment to the community. It demonstrates the members' dedication to earning and maintaining the public's trust while performing their duties with professionalism and integrity.

Preparedness Fair

Tuesday, Sunnyvale Fire-Rescue hosted its first employee-focused event, intended to provide Town employees with information and resources to help them and their families prepare for emergencies and disasters. Members of the public were also invited.

Partner agencies at the event included the Texas Division of Emergency Management, the American Red Cross, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, the North Central Texas Council of Governments (COG), and Texans on Mission. The goal is that as Town employees become better prepared themselves, it helps the Town maintain essential services during an emergency.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Community Open House on Tuesday, Sept. 22! Overall, the Draft Comprehensive Plan was well received, with attendees providing positive feedback and helpful suggestions that continue to build on our active public engagement process.

Following this event, the Project Team and Town staff will continue to collect and compile comments heading into the start of the adoption process. The full draft Imagine Sunnyvale Comprehensive Plan is now available on the project website. We encourage everyone to review the document and share any final comments by completing the comment card on the website.
