End of Year Giving
Thank you to our amazing volunteer Campaign Ambassadors who are making calls to raise money for the 2025 Annual Campaign. And thank you to those receiving the campaign calls who enthusiastically say, “Yes, I want to give back to our community!” Many people have shared heartfelt stories of how honored they are to give back to our community that has supported them throughout the years. That’s one way we are Here for Good! Your generosity helps us empower our community here in Omaha and those in need throughout the world. Click here to pledge or donate today!
Kellee LaSure, our Campaign & Data Coordinator, is available to answer any questions you have regarding your Annual Campaign pledge or payment. Feel free to contact her at (402) 334-6430.
Lion of Judah
Congratulations to our new Lions of Judah for joining the Lion Pride! The Lions of Judah are a national philanthropy giving level that celebrate our most steadfast women philanthropists. We are delighted that so many of our Omaha Lions will be attending the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) Lions of Judah conference in Atlanta in January.
Local Jewish Author Event
Naomi Fox (Director of Engagement & Education), Heidi Heilbrunn Needleman (Assistant Director of Engagement & Education), and Mark Kirchhoff (Program & Communication Assistant) will be hosting author Bob Yaffe on December 15th at 2:00 pm in the Shirley & Leonard Goldstein Community Engagement Venue. Bob’s book, Relinquished, details his search for his birth parents. I read it recently and was so surprised by the many Jewish Omaha connections.
Bob will be happy to take questions about any part of his adoption journey. He and his wife Rita have been great partners in planning this event. We are excited to have the community together to learn his story. His book will be for sale and heavy nosh will be provided. RSVP here!
Jewish Business Leaders
Alex Epstein, founder of Jewish Business Leaders (JBL), and Jay Katelman, Director of Community Development, plan and organize the JBL breakfasts. Last month’s event, which honored Arnold Joffee and John Lehr of Grace/Mayer Insurance Agency, saw the highest attendance in the program’s history. This month, JBL is excited to honor Tom Fellman and Howard Kooper of Broadmoor Development on Friday, December 20th at 7:30 AM at Happy Hollow Club. We hope you'll join us!
