Happy Fall Everyone!
Hope you’re enjoying all the fun fall activities—pumpkin picking, hayrides, apple picking, hiking, and a few local festivals! 🍂 Leave those cell phones in the car and take the opportunity to have meaningful conversations and check-ins. Showing interest in what’s happening at school and at home helps strengthen your connection. Even if you have a very shy Little, they’ll open up over time.
Hopefully, your Little is keeping up with their school assignments. If they’re struggling, ask what kind of support they need—your guidance can make a big difference. I always ask my Little, “How can we turn a C into a B, or a B into an A?” She usually knows what’s required: pay more attention in class, study a bit more, ask for help when she doesn’t understand something, or avoid procrastinating on projects. We talk through a plan and celebrate together when those improved grades start coming in!
Reminder: October 10th is World Mental Health Day! It’s a great time to raise awareness and check in on your Little’s mental health. If you have any concerns, please reach out to your Match Support Specialist so we can provide guidance and referrals as needed. We also offer mental health training sessions that are incredibly helpful.
Enjoy the fall, and hopefully we’ll see you out on the hiking trails! 🍁
