July Matinee Next

Thursday, July 9 at 1 PM

Please join us as we offer the movie adaptation to the best selling book; “Remarkably Bright Creatures;” starring Sally Field, and Lewis Pullman.  Next Thursday, July 9 in the Parish Hall starting at 1:00 PM we look forward to seeing how the “elderly cleaning lady Tova Sullivan takes the young drifter Cameron under her wing, with their deepening connection being observed and solidified by a giant Pacific octopus.” If you like animal stories about redemption and growth, come share the adventure with us.

As always, the Silver Saints Movie Matinee offers fun and fellowship much like going to a theater, but the snacks, beverages, and movie are free. We offer comfortable seating and a time-out break half-way through the movie. Friends and neighbors are welcome to join us.

Adult Christian Formation - New Series

Faith, Hope, and Love

Mtr. Katie

Join Mtr. Katie in the Parish Hall for her final series as curate at St. Thomas! Faith, Hope, and Love, also called the theological virtues, are the foundation of our Christian life (1 Corinthians 13:13). This class will explore how each of these virtues shows up in the contemporary world; in art, culture, and real life!

The Prince of Egypt by Huntsville's Independent Musical Productions

Independent Musical Productions' summer musical this year is "The Prince Of Egypt". A family friendly production based on the 1998 animated Dreamworks film of the same name, it follows the life of Moses from his adoption into the Egyptian royal family through the leading of the Israelites out of slavery.

The show runs one weekend only July 16-19 at Lee High (though not a high school production). Groups larger than 10 people can receive a discount. Contact Amy Warren via her IMP email or phone (256-679-5384).

Esau Society News

Summer Esau In Session

Charlie Erwin won the Spring 2026 session of the Esau Society and gave the season's donations to the Special Session Yearbook fund. The summer session has begun, and it's not too late to join us!

We each donate $40 for the season and get together at 7 pm the second and fourth Mondays of each month in the Parish Hall for poker and fellowship. The winner of the season decides where we donate the money. The fall session will begin the second Monday in September. All are welcome to join the fun!

Do you enjoy the cookies and a beverage when you catch up with old friends and make new ones after the 10:30 am service? Encourage this fellowship by signing up for a week on the sheet in Information Hall. You don't have to be a baker to contribute as store-bought cookies or treats are fine.
