NEW BOYS LAUNDRY ROOM
Our maintenance team has been hard at work upgrading old cabin 38 into a new boys laundry room! This upgrade included a new roof, new plumbing, and better ventilation.

Thanks to the generous donations made by our Village family, we were able to purchase 24 new machines (11 washers and 13 dryers) to be installed in the new laundry room.

We are excited to use this new laundry room this summer!
HUMANS OF AV: CAMPER CONNECTIONS
Joseph Michael
What does it mean to be an Orthodox Christian? I have asked myself this question for a long time now. The Antiochian Village is the closest thing to Heaven from my experiences. I have been coming to camp for over 9 years now, and everything about it has made me want to come back. I have made lifelong friends, and it truly is my home away from home.

When I was younger, I used to hate going to church because I thought it was boring, but if I only knew. When I arrived for my first year of summer camp, I thought it would be the same as church at home, and it seemed like it was for a while. But then a few days into camp, it hit me while we were all chanting together in Orthros. I looked around and thought to myself, this is something truly special; everyone here is working for the same goal even though we are all so different. Despite our differences, Christ brings us together at AV to grow in our faith.
Once it hit me how special the church is, I started asking questions in Morning Program, and I learned so much about God and the Orthodox Faith. Then my hike year rolled around. In that summer, I learned more about my faith than I thought I would in a lifetime and I realized for the first time that it’s God’s love and values that brings everyone together at the Village; we have campers come from all over the world. I realized that being an Orthodox Christian means much more than just chanting in church, it means serving together as one, all working towards the same goal: getting to the Kingdom of Heaven.
