This past Wednesday was our Class of 2024 commencement and Friday was also the last school day of 2023-2024 for all students. Our teachers will engage in post planning after the Memorial Day holiday and then they too will be away for summer vacation!
We have included several pictures in this issue from our fabulous graduation ceremony for the community. While many of our Grenadiers will be returning for 2024-2025 (please see the 'Grenadiers Marching Back' information below), the senior Class of 2024 now moves on to college, military service, work in the private sector, and along other paths. Over the years, we have watched our seniors explore, and develop into the remarkable individuals they are today. Their contributions to Colonial High School, both inside and outside the classroom, have left an indelible mark on all of us and we wish the Class of 2024 Grenadiers the very best of success in life!
This will be our final Colonial Connection of the regular school year. However, we intend to run a few editions over the summer to help keep the community abreast of current events. I would like to thank all of the teachers, coaches, counselors, staff members, and parents who contributed to these issues all along. I would also like to recognize Dr. Tayler Boyer, Assistant Principal, who invested many hours every week to produce the Colonial Connection for our community. She did a remarkable job.
Thank you very much for reading and have a wonderful summer!
It's Great To Be A Grenadier!

Memorial Day, Office Closed

Colonial High School remembers the meaning of Memorial Day.
As proud Americans, we should all remember that our freedom is not free. It is only possible because heroes, some from our own Colonial families or neighborhoods, have paid a high price. On Monday, May 27th, please pause for a moment to remember those fallen defenders of our great country.
Thank you.

Artist Statement:
I was inspired by some reference pictures while coming up with ideas of what to draw. So since the contest was about Asian Culture, I decided to create a pictue showing traditional Korean attire. I added the green background and umbrella to highlight the spring season. The shiba inu dog was included to fill the space.
