Spring is Equinox is here.
New shoots of inspiration... new beginnings... and the
true start of our seasonal year.
Spring season is a great time to cleanse ourselves, and to feel the new surge of energy... that has been preparing for months... now ready to shoot through.
Spring energy correlates with our Liver and Gallbladder....
so palpating our lower body- inside our legs and outside our legs... to get the energy and blood flow and ending with some soothing circular massage on the sides of our torso, respectively where our liver is.
As we come out of the winter... out of darkness... the place of rest... and the place of death... the renewal begins. Imagine bears coming out of hibernation. This is us... warming up and moving our energy in a particular direction. Which way do you want to move... which way do you want to grow? I had a Chinese Medicine teacher once share with me... that all plants grow towards the light... and this is equated with Spring... we too are growing towards the Light.

What are you getting excited about? What is ready to be initiated... brought out into new life?
It could be on the inner level... or on the outer level;
a new realization about yourself... a new project... a new awareness-- remember most outer manifestations begin with a new inner awareness and shift within.

United Nation WOMEN Congress 67th...
I am back! The UNWOMENs trip was intense to say the least, it brought me face to face with the statistics and facts of what is happening in the world for women, and it isn't pretty. And even though I have been aware of these numbers... there was something very special about seeing thousands of women and some men, all gathered in an effort to heal this horrific global suffering for women.
But I cannot lie, my heart was broken... and it wasn't fun and exciting... rather devasting to realize that in today's age... women are still facing such high levels of violence, sexual violence, and even death at all ages. Every 11 minutes a women or girl dies from either intimate partner violence or in the hands of family. Globally 81,000 women and girls were killed in 2021 around 47,0000 (58%) died at the hands of an intimate partner or a family member and laws to address domestic violence are not yet universally available. 1 of 3 women experience sexual violence including rape. Approximately 15 million adolescent girls (age 15-19) worldwide have experienced forced sex at some point in their life. In the US, 3 women are murdered a day by current or former partners. (Wilson Center)
This is part of the story that we continue to live in-- and simultaneously continues to live in us. Even if we personally haven't experienced the violence... I am sure we each know of someone that has... our sisters, our mothers, our friends etc... and we are all carrying this story of violence and trauma in our psyches and bodies, because it has been happening for generations and generations. It is not that we are blaming ourselves... or the victims... those that perpetrate the violence are responsible for it. However, it is part of the fabric of misogyny in the culture that we are still living in. We do have power here - because we are part of the collective and we can liberate ourselves and anchor this new light of the Feminine on the planet. It begins with us.
But please don't shut down... and look away. The truth is that the more we speak it... know it and face it head on... and face it within ourselves the more we change the story for ourselves and for others. The more we look at this place within that doesn't feel safe, that holds back from speaking our truth, the place within us that continues to cater to other's needs, especially our partners and those that are close to us, without regard for our needs... or because we don't feel empowered to say something different than the general consensus >>> this place... is our internalized misogyny.
We may call this the co-dependent self... or the trauma self... of the little girl... but this place is what we are all healing within ... the place within us that feels unworthy... that feels afraid... that feels like she does not have a right to exist. And we feel it, not because of some perception we made up when we didn't get something as a child... but because we are still living in a patriarchal world that does not value women, and continues the femicide, globally. This is not just in our imagination... it is happening and women all over the world are still suffering.

This indicates that the root causes of femicide differ from other
types of murder and are related to the general position of women
in the society, discrimination against women, gender roles,
unequal distribution of power between men and women,
habitual gender stereotypes, prejudices and violence against women.”

However, in stark realization of this reality... we can also realize that we have power... because as we awaken, heal and empower ourselves– and truly transform the beliefs of internalized patriarchy & misogyny... we shift the consciousness on the planet... we shift the collective energy... and liberate ourselves and our sisters all over the world.
It is not hopeless... although quite devastating... but together we can shift the consciousness on the planet... on the collective level we are all one... and so as we do the work... shift our inner philosophy... validate ourselves... and liberate ourselves from the remnants of the internalized system ... we heal and empower all of us—globally. We validate ourselves... we create the standards we want to be held up to... we reclaim our power and what we bring to the table. We shift the very fabric of our society... there is no separation. Our voice is their voice.
And so I feel inspired to create a monthly space for us to come together, women and girls (15 and older), in service to ending the misogyny in our culture... and to heal the internalized patriarchy within us—the feelings of shame... unworthiness... and fear that keeps us stuck in a pattern of abuse and violence. So... once a month, on the last Friday of the month... Venus day (love day) beginning this Spring... March 31st... I will be leading a GLOBAL FEMININE HEALING hour, online, free for all women to join me, awaken, heal and empower ourselves, through the medicine of awakening, voice sound, intention, meditation and soul healing.

My art is really a form of advocacy... it is Feminine Art.
It is art inspired and motivated by the vision of the Great Mother in
which the world is awakened to the Feminine...
and a world that envisions the Great Mother as the Cosmos--
the maternal being from which all of life.... including ourselves are born.
A world that is awakened to the darkness of Her mystery...
Her invisible womb that supports us all.
A world that remembers the Great Mother, not just in the starry cosmos
but also interwoven with each one of us...
as us and as part of every living creation.
This art is Feminine Art, it inspires us to remember a world that is infused with divinity...
where there is no separation because we are all part of the web of life.
The Great Mother is the primary experience of spirit...
just like the Mother is the primary source of life for the child.
And finally a world that regards woman... as sacred...
all of humanity has birthed through a woman.
And so... I want to share this painting that I just finished with you... she is still unnamed. I was inspired after the trip to UNWOMEN Congress to finish this painting. I poured days over it... and it helped me to integrate the intensity I was feeling about the devasting conditions I mention above. In the aftermath of my trip... she came to life. She is still unnamed- She will tell me in her time- but I can feel her fiery energy coming through... her will to fight... and yet her peace... her calm. I can feel her power... with some symbolic transmissions of the bull - taurus (earth~body~embodiment- Venus) medicine to her right... which can also symbolize the crescent of the moon in the horns. Then there is the spider web behind her left side, transmitting connectedness to all of life and subtle strength. I see the fire of transformation... and the light coming in from this transformation. And of course the snake... sign of the Feminine power of transformation... life... which has been demonized in patriarchal culture. I can feel her connection to all these medicines... including the spirals that showed up underneath her and all around her... birthing new life continuously. And amongst all this chaos... transformation... death and rebirth... grief; she is solid.. looking straight forward unapologetically in her fullness. I bring her to you... She too is within you!
