Incorporating Strategy in Your Life
3 Point Model
I) Present Position – Your present position is your current state and circumstances in real time. Accuracy here is the foundation to your success with the rest of the model. I’m going to take a deeper dive into this topic in our next article on successfully launching from your present position.
II) Future Position – Your future position hinges on your ability to articulate and design your desire, dream, or vision. The details of exactly what your intentions are become significant in this second point. Clarity and details are critical, because this will set the direction of your endeavor. This literally becomes your architectural design for building your future. More details to come.
III) The Path – Your path is the direction, activities, as well as actions that connect your present position to your future position. When your preliminary thinking work is concluded, it is here that you roll up your sleeves and put the work in. This includes the utilization of the calendar and clock; task lists; the application of energy and effort; and perseverance until your present position converges into your future position.
