An alert from the US Section of the

Dear Glenn:

This year has been one of uncertainties and shifts.

Now, as the holidays approach, let’s seize this moment to breathe, to pause and reflect, and to stand together for peace, justice and equity.

As WILPFers, we work in solidarity to seek to address ongoing nuclear proliferation, existential threats to our democracy, continuing human and civil rights’ struggles, capitalism run amok, and relentless attacks on the Earth.

We truly are more powerful together! Your gift now helps us keep feminist peace activism strong across the US in 2023.

Donate now!

This year we stayed focused and active:

  • DISARM/EndWars Committee continues as part of the Peace in Ukraine Coalition – insisting on an end to this war and a halt to nuclear threats.

  • Cindy Piester, an Earth Democracy Committee activist, represented WILPF US and WILPF International at COP 27 on global climate collapse in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.

  • The Women, Money & Democracy Committee led their second Public Banking Learning Circle. That six-part series led to a renewed Vermont Public Banking Advocacy effort.

  • WILPFers started a new membership drive entitled “Shaping the Future of WILPF One Member at a Time,” designed to reach younger, more diverse women.

  • I was one of 35 WILPFers who attended the Poor People Campaign’s March on Washington and to the Polls. WILPF’s new Voting Rights Resources will be valuable tools through 2024.

  • During 2022 our members participated in actions to save our democracy, register voters, and get out the vote.

  • We’re launching and reviving branches in Atlanta, GA; Southern Piedmont and Central North Carolina; Washington DC area; and Chicago, IL. We’re working to make our membership more diverse and inclusive.

Let’s DO this! DONATE NOW!!

We can’t do this work without your help, so please talk about WILPF with others and share WILPF events with your networks.

As we organize for 2023, please support our vital efforts with a generous year-end gift.

In love, gratitude, and solidarity
